Edge Alignment
- This principle naturally positions elements against a margin that matches up with their outer edges.
Center Alignment
- This principle places design elements so that they line up with one another on their center axes.
Types of Horizontal Alignment for Text
- There are four types of alignment for text. They are center, flush left, flush right and justified.
Center
- It is placing every element on the center axis of the page.
- It works best with just a few short lines of text.
Flush Left
- Text aligned to the left hand margin is flush left alignment.
- It is considered as strongest, safest and most common orientation.
- It results in very comfortable, secure and conservative look.
Flush Right
- Flush right alignment is much less common than other types, so it is often used to give elements a unique look and feel.
- In this text is aligned against right hand margin.
Justified
- With justified alignment; both the left and right sides of the text are effectively flush against hard, straight margins.
