Why alignment is Important?

Alignment is important because it:
  • allows you to arrange elements in a way that matches how people naturally scan the page.
  • helps to balance your image so that it is visually attractive.
  • creates a visual connection between related elements.

Basic Alignment Principles

Edge Alignment

Center Alignment

  • This principle places design elements so that they line up with one another on their center axes.

Types of Horizontal Alignment for Text

Center

  • It is placing every element  on the center axis of the page.
  • It works best with just a few short lines of text.

Flush Left

  • Text aligned to the left hand margin is flush left alignment.
  • It is considered as strongest, safest and most common orientation.
  • It results in very comfortable, secure and conservative look.

 Flush Right

  • Flush right alignment is much less common than other types, so it is often used to give elements a unique look and feel.
  • In this text is aligned against right hand margin.

 Justified
