Vector Graphics
- Vector graphics is creation of digital images through a sequence of commands or mathematical statements that place lines and shapes in 2D or 3D.
- It is the use of polygons to represent images in computer graphics.

Vector Graphics
- Vector graphics can be created in form using pen plotter(special type of printer).
- Draw programs are used to manipulate vector graphics.
Primitive objects supported by vector file
- Lines, poly-lines and polygons

Polygons

Lines and poly-lines
- Bezier curves and bezigons

Bezier curves
|
Circle and ellipse
Advantages
- Power of scalability.
- Size of vector objects is small.
- Data can be represented in original resolution without generalization.
Disadvantages
- It is time consuming and specific talent must be needed to create it.
- Location of each vector need to be stored separately.
- Thin lines in vector images may disappear if we reduce the size too much.
